Can "Good Parenting" Be Harmful to Children?

no I don't think good parenting can be bad for kids, the things you list in your 3rd paragraph are not good parenting types of things, they are being over protective and sheltering which is not really considered good parenting. There has to be a balance of protecting your child when needed and letting them learn lessons when needed. The trick is knowing the difference and sometimes it's hard to know and so that is why all parents make mistakes but even as parents we are learning lessons as well.
