Why is Mexico so freaking good?

And why do so many people have a problem with that? After losing 4-2, some gringos seem to have a hard time with that loss. They say that concacaf is bad, say that Mexico is a poor country and so on. But places like California and Texas are already more Mexican than American. So what's the big problem here?
