Carpooling to camp with friend?

Is this a good idea? I am going to a camp that is like 1.5 hours away from home and my best friend is going too so we decided to carpool. She is going to drive me there and my dad is going to drive me back. Is that a good idea? she is leaving a day early though so its going to be just me. Its on a college campus and its pretty big and my dad has never been there before. I have a map though, of the campus and i can draw the route for him to take right? And do like GPS' work on college campuses? I am like stressing right now because i dont know if it is a good idea or not.
