Sims 2: Job options on computer and in paper not changing?

I have The Sims 2 and University installed. I go to get my sim a job, (I wanted one in the paranormal career track) but the job options in the paper and on the computer aren't changing. I only get options from the Athletic, Business, Slacker, Military and criminal career tracks. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the same thing just happens. I don't know if it's relevant, but I did muck around a lot with the boolProp cheat a bit, and the problem started when I played with the career options in that, for instance, the carpool no longer came for that Sim. I just want to play normally again, anyone know what's wrong?
